So now, let’s continue our Story

Joe had always been passionate about video editing. He would spend hours on end watching YouTube tutorials, practising different editing techniques, and learning everything he could about the craft. He dreamed of making a name for himself in the industry, supporting his family, and living a life doing what he loved.

However, as Joe delved deeper into the world of video editing, he quickly realized that it was a lot harder than he thought. He struggled to find work and earn a living from his craft. He spent countless hours learning new skills but never spent enough time mastering any of them. He soon discovered that mastering the technical aspects of video editing wasn't enough to make it in the industry.

Joe also failed to realize the importance of networking and building relationships with people in the industry. He was too shy and scared to put himself out there and connect with others. He thought he could make it on his own, but he couldn't have been more wrong.

In addition to his lack of networking, Joe also struggled to manage his time effectively. He was juggling video editing, college, and family responsibilities, which often left him feeling burnt out and overwhelmed. He didn't know how to prioritize his tasks or manage his time effectively, which made it difficult for him to achieve his goals.

To make matters worse, Joe didn't build a personal brand. He didn't have a website or a portfolio to showcase his work, and he didn't have any social media presence. Joe never took the time to establish himself as a reputable video editor, and as a result, NO ONE KNEW WHO HE WAS. He had no online presence, and his work went unnoticed.

As Joe's frustration grew, he started to doubt himself and his abilities. He felt like he was putting in all the work but not getting any results. He started to think that video editing was a scam and that he would never make it in the industry.

Joe's story is all too familiar for many aspiring video editors. They make the same mistakes as Joe and end up giving up on their dreams before they even get started.

Don’t be Joe,
No one was there to guide what Joe was doing wrong, but you’ve got a lot of people for that.

Avoid these mistakes at any cost in your Video Editing Journey:

1. Not Spending time on learning the craft and mastering the skills
2. Doing everything alone without networking with other people in the industry
3. Poorly managing time and getting burnt out
4. Not building a personal brand

The last one is the biggest in my opinion, you know me and you’re following me just because I have a personal brand. If I would have been doing the edits on my own, you never would have known who the hell is Sayujya (my name’s weird as well)
