How to become "irreplaceable" with one simple trick:

Do you ever feel that your client can kick you off and hire someone else? That feeling will be gone after you read this.

It’s a terrible feeling.

When you’re doing your best job,
When you’re giving all that you’ve got,
When you’re doing everything in your power to help them,
But the thought of them saying 'We can't work together anymore' still sends a shiver down your spine.

But I won’t blame them for doing that, instead, I’ll blame you for letting that happen.

Yeah…

It’s your fault for being just another “commodity”.

It’s your fault for being a T-shirt and not Gucci.

It’s your fault for being “replaceable”

Yeah, enough scoldings, now let me give you 3-Simple Steps that will make your client beg so that you don’t leave them:

  1. Craft

Now the first aspect is surely your work.

If you provide the most basic services like “cutting and trimming” “color grading” “adding b-rolls”…

You’re selling something that is a lot less valuable in the first place.

That should not be the case and for becoming someone who is irreplaceable,

You’ll need to have skills that set you apart from the crowd.

I see a lot of people who learn Filmora and start searching for clients who can pay them thousands of dollars.

    Sheesh… That’s not gonna happen.

Become obsessed with the craft, don’t see this as an earning source just become so good at it that they say “This guy knows his shit”

Learn from the gaming montage gurus, they don’t get a dime for what they make, they still make it because they find it fun.

Probably they are even better at the craft than you are at this moment.

    Honest… But true.

  2. Onboarding

You get a client ➡ You show them your portfolio ➡️ You ask them for the video files ➡️ You edit them and give them back ➡️ They either pay you after a month or after that one project

    Isn’t that what you do?

Well isn’t that what we all are supposed to do?

    Fukcing no!

Did you go to the school and they sat you down in the class the moment you paid the fees?

    No, right?

They sent you to the principal’s office,

    You filled 100s of documents

You managed to clear a test

And then only you were allowed to join the school from the next day.

What happens when you leave school? Can you just not go to school and you’ll be out? Nope.

You’ll need to get a Transfer Certificate and fill out another 100s of documents before you quit or any other school won’t allow you to join.

You see where am I getting at?

Good businesses have systems, they’re not just a grocery shop.

For us creatives, we have a system called “Client Onboarding System” where we let them get into our systems and make it easier for them to manage everything.

Now how do you prepare a client onboarding system?

Well, my friend, it’s a huge ass topic with a template that I use for my clients.

Good news: My course is gonna be released later this month and in that, I’ll give a ton of templates like:
    • Cold Email Templates
    • Twitter Thread Templates
    • Client Onboarding Templates
    • Chat GPT Content Prompt

Reply to this email if you want anything else and I’ll make sure that I add that😉

  3. Are You Invested?

It doesn’t matter how good videos you edit for them.

The thing that matters the most is… if you’re as invested as them to make them reach their goals.

Before you start working with them, know where they wanna go with this journey and become a part of it.

If my clients need more sales, I’ll give them more sales.

If my clients need more fame, I’ll give them more fame.

The key is to understand what they want better than you do and help them go there.

I had a client who was struggling with sales for his Mac App.

We created a personal brand for him which is 10x that of his product sales.

On each and every level we were together and I know he felt it.

When we reached $10,000 in sales, he shipped a gift for me from London.

That happened because his goal became mine and we were achieving it together. I wasn’t just a video editor, I was a partner.

This is exactly what you need to do as well. Don’t be their employ, become their partner (not in shares of the company, but in efforts)

They’re gonna feel it sooner than you think and they’ll be afraid to let you go.

Follow these 3 simple steps and I guarantee you’re never gonna lose a client.

Literally… NEVER!

I bet you on that.

And remember that it’s never B2B,

But it’s always P2P. People to People

Don’t trynna be like a company, become human instead.
